Iris Partap Singh - The One Man Sports Brigade
Iris Partap Singh (Ac No- 5680), presently a student of class VI-A is an exceptionally talented child. His perseverance, tenacity, unflinching resolve and faith in his abilities make him do the unthinkable and that too over and over again in ways different. In an age of computer games, Iris Pratap stands out as an exception. He is a mini-giant who reigns the sports arena with an inexplicable élan. He loves challenges and setting records at the national and international level. Though he has won many a laurel, prominent among them find a mention below:-
- He entered into the ‘India Book of Records’ at a tender age of 8½ years by registering a count of 203 Rope Skippings in 1 minute.
- He again entered into the ‘India Books of Records’ by registering a count of 4620 Rope Skippings in 30 minutes.
- He entered into the ‘Limca Book of Records’ by skipping on 10 feet and 9 inches wide wall 2000 times in 12 minutes.
- Another feather in his cap came when he entered into the ‘Golden Book of World Records’ by performing one thousand rope skipping at ten feet high wall with base of 9 inches in Five minutes and thirteen seconds.

As if this wasn’t enough, Iris Pratap Singh became a participant of ‘All Open World Challenge’ and broke the prevailing records by-
- walking 82 kms in 15½ hours.
- by performing Chakrasan for 1.57 seconds.
- by performing stepper exercise for 41 minutes
- by completing 25 kms non-stop race in 2 hours.
- by swimming underwater for 25 meters.
